The Committee of Civil Servants Unions is yet to receive an answer from Government on the counter proposal submitted by the unions regarding 12.5% cuts on personnel salaries and benefits. | SMN News

PHILIPSBURG:— On Wednesday, May 5, 2020, the Secretariat of the Committee of Civil Servants Unions (CCSU) and its members received an invite from the Council of Ministers to hold an urgent virtual meeting with all unions representing Civil Servants. This meeting was held outside of the legal platform as prescribed by the Legislation that governs Civil Servant labor rights (the LMA). This virtual meeting was held on Thursday, May 6, 2020. 

During this virtual meeting, the unions present were verbally informed of specific cuts the Council of Ministers had approved and intended to implement based on the current Covid-19 reality
