PHILIPSBURG:— During World Interact Week, celebrated on November 5 through November 11, the members of the Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset collaborated with members of the Interact Clubs of Learning Unlimited and Milton Peters College to conduct a tree planting activity at their respective schools.
“We chose to plant a tree as it symbolizes the youth program of Rotary; Interact. Interactors are the future, and we need to care and nurture them into leaders of tomorrow who will carry on the mantle of Rotary’s values,” Youth Service Director, Ruminni Rogers stated.
Members also wore purple during the planting activity in recognition of Alzheimer’s Awareness month.
The Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset and the Interact Clubs of Learning Unlimited and Milton Peters College would like to express gratitude to Green Fingers for contributing the plants and soil for the tree planting activity. Special recognition is also given to the Rotary Club of St. Maarten Interact Advisors Adelina Schaap-Chandler, Melanie Daboul, and Dimple Naresh Sagre for their assistance.
The Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset pledged to continue lending its support to the Interactors as they continue to selflessly serve the community.
