PHILIPSBURG:--- The Police traffic department is presently investigating a traffic accident involving a scooter. The accident occurred on Saturday July 7th on Simpson Road in the vicinity of number 53. According to the police report the rider of the scooter lost control of the scooter with license plate MF-155 and entered the yard where a young boy was playing and knocking down. The scooter then impacted a vehicle with license plate 7759AAB that was parked on the property and finally hitting a light pole on the side of the street.
Both the scooter rider and the young boy suffered cuts and bruises to their body. They were both transported by ambulance to the Sint Maarten Medical Center for further treatment.
