PHILIPSBURG:--- The police management team extends sincere words congratulations and gratitude to the entire community of Sint Maarten for the great shown conduct and cooperation they have given to the police department on the day of the Parliamentary Election 2018 for Sint Maarten was held. On this day very few and minor reports in connection the election were made in which the police department had to intervene. These incidents were quickly resolved and the situations were quickly back to normal. Due to the good cooperation and the great conduct of the community Sint Maarten had a very successful election.
The Police management also wants to congratulate all its officers, the officers from the Dutch National Police, the Royal Marechaussee and the Voluntary Corps of Sint Maarten (VKS) for doing a great job in providing the necessary safety and security to the entire community on this Election Day. This day would not have been as successful one with the extra input of these officers during the very long day.
