Last Wednesday, January 24, around 1:30 a.m., the KPSM telephone exchange received several calls reporting an armed robbery in progress at a casino located in Porto Cupecoy.
Several police patrols, detectives and forensic officers were dispatched to the scene. Preliminary investigations indicate that three masked individuals, dressed in dark clothing and in possession of firearms, targeted security personnel at the entrance to the casino before entering the establishment. The amount of damage suffered by the casino was not communicated by law enforcement. Once their misdeed was committed, the robbers fled towards the French side according to the Dutch police. An investigation is underway to identify the perpetrators of the robbery who are actively sought by the police.
