Detectives appeal for community assistance in supermarket armed robbery. Robbers still at large | SOUALIGA NEWSDAY

SINT MAARTEN (PHILIPSBURG) – Police and Detectives are once again appealing to the community for assistance regarding two criminal investigations.  On Monday, March 18, 2019, around 11.15 am, in broad daylight, an armed robbery occurred at supermarket 2.3 in the Dutch Quarter district.

Three perpetrators, one with a firearm, entered the supermarket and forced some of those present to lie on the floor.

The perpetrators took the money from the cash register under threat from the firearm. After the raid, the three perpetrators ran away in the direction of the Dutch Quarter.
