Man shot in Milton Drive. Sent abroad in critical condition | SOUALIGA NEWSDAY

SINT MAARTEN (DUTCH QUARTER) – Detectives are presently investigating the shooting of a man identified with initials W.M. on Milton Drive in Dutch Quarter, police announced on Wednesday.

The incident took place on Tuesday August 27th at approximately 7.00 p.m. According to the report the victim was shot by an unknown assailant who arrived at the location with another person driving an unknown car.

After the shooting the suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The victim was immediately taken by his wife to the Sint Maarten Medical Center where he was operated on and admitted in critical condition. The victim was flown abroad for further medical on the same day. The present medical situation of the victim is unknown.

The reason for this shooting and who the suspects are is still unknown and are still under investigation. The Detective Department is requesting anyone who may have information in connection with this case to call 54-22222 ext. 213- 214 as soon as possible. (Sint Maarten Police Force)
