PHILIPSBURG--Formateur Member of Parliament Theo Heyliger received a letter from Anti-Poverty Platform members Raymond Jessurun and Alberto Bute at Parliament House, urging him to include poverty alleivation in his talk as formateur to form a new government for the country.
"Poverty alleviation may not be so directly stated in the guidelines from the governor to me in my role as formateur, but I can assure the Platform and the people of St. Maarten that this issue forms part of everything we are discussing," Heyliger, leader of the United Democrats, said.
