MARIGOT:— Following the increase in the number of coronavirus cases on the Dutch side, the Prefette Sylvie Feucher indicated she will not close the border again, only “if the necessary measures were taken” on Sint Maarten.
Following the sharp increase in the number of positive cases on the Dutch side, the Prefette met on Monday morning with the Prime Minister of Sint Maarten Silveria Jacobs. “I told her that if the necessary measures were taken, I would not necessarily close the border immediately,” said the Prefette said at a press conference on Monday afternoon.
