PHILIPSBURG:--- Minister of Public Health, Social Development and Labor (VSA), Emil Lee encourages all persons seeking employment to register on www.jobopportunity.sx and attend the ongoing job fairs.
"As our island continues to progress with re-building post-Irma, there are numerous employment opportunities that will be coming online, particularly in the construction sector and the Ministry of VSA, and by extension, the Department of Labor Affairs is committed to ensuring our local people benefit. The reconstruction of key infrastructure on Sint Maarten is an important step in rebuilding the country and utilizing laborers on the local Labor Market will help to ensure that the economy recovers quicker. To move forward in rebuilding Sint Maarten, it is critical that our locals apply for and receive jobs when they become available, and that we as a Ministry do our best to not issue work permits when our local labor market can provide," stated Minister Lee.

Divi Little Bay Beach Resort recently hosted a job fair and Amazon Construction N.V. has announced a Job Fair for Tuesday, April 10th, 2018 from 8 AM -5 PM at the John Larmonie Center in Philipsburg. Interviews and initial intakes will be completed on the spot and persons are urged to be on time.
