COLE BAY:— In efforts to promote Economic and Community Development, the Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset embarked on a mission to assist persons in the community with the reconstruction of their homes that were damaged by Hurricane Irma.
The Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset collaborated with ACE Hardware Center, who generously donated vouchers in which recipients can use to obtain building materials. Mrs. Peters and Mrs. Vanterpool were chosen by the club to be the recipients of the vouchers given that both recipients and their families lost everything during the storm and they were having challenges with rebuilding their homes.
Mrs. Vanterpool and Mrs. Peters both expressed gratitude towards the Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset and ACE Hardware Center for the assistance rendered during their time of need. Both recipients were presented with the vouchers at the ACE Hardware Center in the presence of ACE Hardware Center representative Mr. Ramadan Alhableh.
The Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset would like to thank ACE Hardware Center for their generous contribution and support of this initiative. The club would also like to encourage other hardware stores on the island and the business community at large to pledge their support towards this initiative so that families that are still in need of urgent assistance can be reached.
