PHILIPSBURG:---The St. Maarten National Basketball Association will be starting the SXMNBA Basketball Academy. If your child is interested in becoming a member of the SXMNBA Basketball Academy these are the requirements:
Born between 2000-2009 (Boys & Girls)
Copy of a valid Identification (Passport, ID card, ETC)
One (1) ID Picture
Completed Registration Form
There is a $40.00 or ANG 72.00 monthly fee and $10.00 or ANG 18.00 one-time registration fee per member. Training sessions will be 2 hours held once per week. We our working with coaches and trainers from around the world to give kids an opportunity to further their basketball dreams and studies.
Understand that our philosophy is instructional, competitive, and developmental and promotes self-¬‐discipline, group cooperation, and good sportsmanship. Members must demonstrate a cooperative, motivated, well-¬‐behaved manner at all times during academy sessions. Our goal is developing skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and having fun!
The vision of St. Maarten National Basketball Association (SXMNBA) is to provide an environment to develop basketball & our athletes.
We however are fully aware that this is not possible without the assistance and support of all stakeholders, to ensure that our programs are sustainable and produce results we are also looking for volunteers and sponsorship partners who are interested in assisting with our different activities throughout the year to guarantee that the objectives of SXMNBA are achieved.
The SXMNBA would like to give a big thanks to UNICEF Nederland for their help and support with securing the materials needed to make this project happen.
