Pond Island:--- TelEm Group today announced the immediate closure of its location at the Carrefour Supermarket until further notice and at the same time announced extended opening hours at the company’s main Pond Island location – also until further notice.

According to TelEm Group, continued construction work is one of the reasons why the so-called “Bush Road” branch is being closed. Another reason is the movement of staff to the TelEm Building to enhance customer services there.

TelEm Group informed personnel at the branch about the change in location Monday and put the closure immediately into effect.

TelEm Group, Manager Human Resources & Development, Shadira Richardson, said the Bush Road location was popular with customers because it remained open outside of regular office hours for payments and other transactions.

“Due to the closure of the Bush Road branch we will be accommodating customers by opening the main office on Pond Island until 7:00 pm in the evening and between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm Saturdays,” said Shadira.

TelEm Group management on Tuesday apologized to customers for the sudden notice of closure and will keep customers informed of future developments regarding the branch.
