Wereld Natuur Fonds WWF-NL is the sponsor of this initiative, which aims to enhance environmental awareness in the community.

Starting on Saturday, October 28, free registration for the activities will be available at the Sea and Learn Foundation booth, which will be available throughout the event at a location to be announced later.

Three scientists will visit Statia from October 28 to November 1 to take part in a variety of experiences. The programmes start with a citizen science dive adventure led by Lindsay Huebner and Scubaqua N.V. Participants will learn about octocorals, also known as soft corals, such as sea fans or gorgonians, on Saturday, October 28.

Dr. Katie Flowers and Dr. Iain McGaw will share their valuable insights about stingrays and land crabs, respectively. Flowers will give her presentation on stingrays at Ocean View Terrace at 6:00pm Sunday, October 29. There will also be two exciting dives to view stingrays earlier that day, at 2:00pm, and again on Tuesday, October 31, also at 2:00pm.

McGaw will talk about land crabs at the Hill Top View Bar and Restaurant at 6:00pm. He will also host a guided hike excursion to observe the land crabs in their habitat on November 1 from 6:00pm, after the final dive opportunity of the event at 2:00pm.

The awareness opportunities also include four field trips with Gwendoline van Putten High School and two visits to Chapel Piece Recreational Centre.
