Police make four arrests related to stabbing, stealing and abuse investigations | SOUALIGA NEWSDAY

SINT MAARTEN (PHILIPSBURG) – Members of the Sint Maarten Police Force (KPSM) have been busy locating and arresting numerous suspects in several criminal investigations.

*Two male suspects identified with initials M.J.H. (22) and C.V.R. (33) were arrested by police on Thursday July 25th in connection with the stabbing of a Venezuelan national which took place on Sunday July 7th in Sint Peters. Both suspects remain in custody for questioning and further investigation.

*One male suspect was arrested in connection with an ongoing investigation regarding the stealing of a scooter on May 1st, 2019. The suspect remains in custody for further investigation.

*A female identified with initials G.L. (38) from the Dominican Republic was arrested by police on Saturday July 27th for the severe ill-treatment of her 14-year-old son identified with initials G.G.L.

This ill-treatment took place over long period of time leaving the victim with many scars on his body. The suspect remains in custody for further investigation. (Sint Maarten Police Force)
