Simpson Bay:--- At present, the works at Kimsha Parking lot has continued. The project paused in order to lay electrical cables for the lighting of the parking lot. The plans were also adjusted temporarily until the case with the Dive Shop is finalized.
The parking lot will consist of 175 parking spaces of which 6 are designated for the disabled. The parking lot will be completely lit and constructed from concrete.
The parking lot is meant to alleviate the parking situation in Simpson Bay where it is extremely busy due to a number of restaurants and other establishments that are situated on the strip. The construction of the parking lot is part of the beautification plans to upgrade the infrastructure of the Cole Bay and Simpson Bay strip.
At the Moment the public tender “Design and Build, upgrading of Cole Bay – Simpson Bay” is being advertised. The Minister would like to encourage all qualifying companies to take part in this upcoming bid. The tender date is August 19th, 2016 at 10:00AM.
