PHILIPSBURG:— Minister of Education, Youth, Culture, and Sport, Ardwell Irion paid a personal visit to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. school today to assess the state of the roof. Upon his arrival, the minister found tattered tarpaulin, a leaking roof and the school’s staff mopping rainwater off the floor.

The minister Irion was in disbelief to discover that the roofs had not been touched since they were covered with tarpaulin more than two years ago. “It is unacceptable that this hasn’t been resolved yet. Our children deserve better.” The minister was accompanied by the Minister of VROMI, Chris Wever.
