MARIGOT–Association Sandy Ground on the Move Insertion reminds parents that lessons and extra-curricular activities re-started on January 4, 2018.
The Association is receiving children on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 12:30pm to 3:30pm, and on Wednesdays from 8:30am to 4:30pm. The registration fee is 30 euros per trimester (three months) and 20 euros for a supplementary child.
Association president Georges Richardson took the opportunity to thank the SOS, Red Cross, Secours Populaire, Le Ville des Abymes, Groupe Akiyo, Association Watt de Neuf, and Fondation de France, and other private associations that contributed in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma.
“I must say the Préfecture is also doing a fantastic job in continuing the distribution of food and water in Sandy Ground,” he said. “The State understands the difficulties the country is facing after Irma.”
Added association director Marjorie Antoine: “Aside from the Collectivité and the Préfecture that helped, other associations from Martinique, Guadeloupe and the USA contributed with materials, tarpaulins, food etcetera so we say thank you to them too. It permits us today to still be distributing supplies to the elderly and others in need.”
Antoine and Richardson wished the population a good recovery in 2018 and encouraged the youth and the elderly to stay positive and hopeful as there is plenty of work to do.
