KRALENDIJK--James Finies will officially launch Partido Pueblo Progresivo, PPP, on September 6, Bonaire Day, introducing a new political movement built around what it describes as a central principle: “Every Inhabitant First.”

PPP says it will position itself as an inclusive political movement committed to representing every inhabitant of Bonaire and protecting their rights regardless of nationality, origin or background.

The official launch will take place at 6:00pm at Kaya Libertador Simon Bolivar #26 and will include the presentation of the party’s preliminary manifesto as well as a special exhibition documenting Finies’ 1,165-day journey in the international community.

According to the organizers, the exhibition will use photographs, documents and key milestones to show how Bonaire’s constitutional situation has been brought before regional and international forums, including the United Nations.

The exhibition will also highlight efforts to have Bonaire placed on the United Nations List of Non-Self-Governing Territories, an issue that has formed part of Finies’ international advocacy.

PPP said the launch marks the beginning of a new political chapter focused on issues affecting residents in their daily lives.

The party’s preliminary manifesto will address the cost of living, affordable housing and rent, electricity and water costs, healthcare, education, employment, opportunities for young people, support for the elderly, good governance and sustainable economic development.

PPP said the phrase “Every Inhabitant First” is intended to be more than a campaign slogan and will serve as the principle guiding the party’s policies, priorities and decisions.

The movement is inviting the entire Bonaire community to attend the launch, view the exhibition and learn more about its proposed political direction.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, September 6, 2026, beginning at 6:00pm at Kaya Libertador Simon Bolivar #26, Bonaire.
